On May 2, 2026, The Whyte hosted the Thick as Thieves curator talk with Crystal Mowry, Curator of the exhibition, in conversation with Christina Cuthbertson, Chief Curator at The Whyte.
Organized and circulated by the MacKenzie Art Gallery, Thick as Thieves brought together works from the Mackenzie Art Gallery’s Permanent Collection that explored trust, influence, collaboration, secrecy, and the hidden ties that shape how we relate to one another. Through Crystal's talk and a following Q&A conversation, Mowry and Cuthbertson offered deeper insight into the exhibition’s themes, curatorial approach, and resonance within The Whyte’s summer exhibition program.
If you missed the talk, we invite you to visit The Whyte and experience Thick as Thieves in person. The exhibition is on view from May 1 to November 8, 2026, alongside When our eyes touch in the Rummel Gallery.
The Whyte is located at 111 Bear Street in Banff, Alberta and is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Plan your visit, explore current exhibitions, and learn more about upcoming programs.
