Outdoor wedding ceremony and reception venue on the Whyte Museum Grounds in Banff National Park.

Whyte Museum Grounds

With two stunning natural spaces to choose from, the Whyte Museum offers a wonderful opportunity to host your outdoor wedding on the banks of the Bow River! Tucked away from the bustle of Banff, this area has been used for over a hundred years for everything from legendary (Wild Bill) Bill Peyto’s horse corrals to a gathering location for special events.

Choose from the expansive grounds located directly behind the museum, perfect for larger weddings, or, the more intimate Abegweit Lawn nestled amongst trees and heritage homes for additional privacy. Please note that the Abegweit heritage home is not available as a wedding venue.

The grounds are available for wedding ceremonies and/or receptions on weekends from June to September. The Mason Hall (listed below) is the back up indoor space for outdoor weddings on the Museum Grounds.
